The SCAC received a $5,000 grant from the Warren County Emergency Relief Fund, announced President Chris Pozzuto.
The fund is a joint effort of Warren County Foundation and the Greater Cincinnati Foundation and part of GCF’s COVID-19 Regional Recovery Fund.
Since Gov. Mike DeWine’s order closed Ohio schools on March 16, SCAC has adapted its service model to help more people. Typically, the center serves approximately 100 families twice a month with a choice food pantry. During the crisis, SCAC volunteers are distributing food packages twice a week and serving approximately 400 people every week.
