Warren County Community Services’ new HEAP mobile unit will be at the SCAC on shopping days beginning Jan. 23.
Help is available with gas and electric bills, bulk fuel (propane, wood, etc.) and water bills. There are multiple programs including ways to reestablish service that has been disconnected and ways to lower payments.
For all programs, you must be living at or below 175% of the Federal Poverty Level. For a family of four, that is $48,563 a year or $4,047 a month.
Neighbors can approach the mobile unit in the parking lot and should bring the following documents:
- Proof of income for the last 30 days for all household members over 18.
- Most current utility bill IN YOUR NAME or an invoice from a bulk fuel company.
- Proof of citizenship for all household members (Social Security card, birth certificate, passport).
- If you rent, a copy of your lease.
