Wendy Grothjan

Wendy (Ford) Grothjan, our founder and executive director, also serves as the Mental Health Coordinator for Springboro Community City Schools.

With extensive experience in social work and a long-standing presence in Springboro, Wendy is exceptionally qualified to identify and address the needs of families seeking assistance from the SCAC.

Heather Gosselin

Heather oversees the dating and sorting of our food pantry items. Thanks to Heather, our donations are organized in a way that makes sure nothing is wasted. She also keeps track of what we need most so appeals to the community can be targeted to meet our neighbors needs.

Shelley Hoy

Shelley oversees our backpack program and coordinates food drives conducted by our schools, churches and businesses. She also coordinates deliveries from Shared Harvest, a key partner.  If you are interested in hosting a food drive, contact Shelley. Shelley and Heather work together to coordinate volunteers. 

Luke Sandro

Luke is frequently at our front desk greeting neighbors and keeping our shopping line moving. He also helps us with paperwork and monthly reports to our partner Shared Harvest. When he’s not with us, he teaches biology at Springboro High School.
